Geomag 4 Kids: Angular Momentum Transfer

The interactions between the magnetic poles work like elastic collisions: when two items collide, the velocity of one of them with respect to the other is reversed. In this model, the "collisions" always happen between a rotating item, which stops; and a still one that starts moving (apart from friction problems) at the same speed: the result is the angular momentum have completely been transferred.
