Your method is wrong. using a bias probe will give you a falls reading because your amp comes with a test/reading bias sockets for your tubes, it also haves a 1 ohm resistor just like the bias probe. Bob just sold you the probe for shits and giggles, I'm mean more income. Also when you switch from 6L6 mode to EL34 mode on your amp and have the opposite tubes like you do, your Out Put Transformer is taking a Hit like you won't believe. Bob will do anything to make money. He'll fool you.

Thanx for the tips... so replacing the tubes from EL34 to 6l6s isnt only about switching the bias switch? What would happen if i have EL34s and i want to change the tubes for 6l6s and wouldnt adjust the mA value? isnt enough just switch that button there? :D
Thanks for your answer! Why you using EL34´Selector if you are using 6L6 Tubes?
And, I read in some places that Bias adjust selector that is incorpored in amp is not available for all and you need adjust in motherboard, it is truth?
I try to learn all I need because I have to replace tube soon.. :D
Thanks for the vid. , I been waiting for this on this amp.I have the JSX combo, but the innards I believe are the same. When you connect the eurotubes adapter to the 1st power tube, and make the adjustment,Does that adjust all 4 automatically ,or do you need to go down the line and do all 4 separate?

@guitargraveyard- Thats right,it doesn't get you close. Better to get the adapter and read with your meter right from the tube socket.

Why you don´t use the amp´s bias test that is incorporated in the amp? Is that because is not precise?

@DarkendSun I was wondering the same thing please

Nice video. Very informative. I had the same amps, the JSX and the Vypyr. Gotta love Peavey. They make great stuff.
