  • The other problem with having to login with your username and password on each and evey site is that those with passwords (much easier for them to remember that for others to guess) are separated from those without. Furthermore, passwords *are* system codes any unnecessary exposure of them to users is a disadvantage.

  • But this means that if I use dave@myvidoop.com,  Vidoop will in effect, own my OpenID identifier doesn't it?

    How is that in MY best interests Luke?

  • OpenID is a SCAM run by Google etc to OWN you online identity,

    OpenID is anything but open, unless you consider your identity being owned by Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter to be open.

    If your OpenID is an email address or username, you are already OWNED!

    Warning: OpenID can and do cancel ids without any notice, meaning you instantly lose all you content and connections.

    If you use OpenID they OWN you online life.
