  • Considering that I'm an art enthusiast, I love everything to do with the history of Spain. I have just read a book on the painters Bosch and van Dyck but they're nowhere near as good as Velazquez and Murillo as well as the rest of the Spanish Masters. The architecture and the technique style these master artisans used really is a unique accomplishment to art history. Most painters like this referred back to the classical period because it was a fashion statement among kings and the aristocracy.

  • thank you. it`s so fantastic

  • @moimun No one's hands are clean. Syria, Egypt, North Africa, Palestine, what is today Turkey, and many others were Christian countries. The greatest church ever built is the Hagia Sophia, today defaced with minarets. Most churches in those lands are in ruins, or are now mosques. Christians are brutally persecuted in Muslim countries today, while Muslims are happy to take advantage of the tolerance of the West, living in countries to which they feel no loyalty.

  • So much hidden history behind past European bigotry. Interesting how term moors is used to imply they were foreigners, 70% of inhabitants of spain over time converted to islam. So it was a muslim country of various ethnic mix. But the Catholic militants invaded and forcefully killed&converted muslims&jews, claimed the incredible renaissance as their own, destroyd the multi cultural civilisation of the muslims&burnt over 1million books, turning every mosque into gothic cathedrals we see today.

  • El arte es tan bonita, pero ambos son cultos ....

  • @eleutealado So I suppose we should just knock down the whole thing then and build a megachurch.

  • Anyone knows the music used on 1:14?? It's so enchanting like the history and architecture of Spain.

  • Stop your copy and paste crap,it's obviosly not yours.Moors were only in southern Iberia point blank.

  • Al-Mansur Ibn Abi Aamir (938 - August 8, 1002)

Although he mainly fought against León and the Castile, in 985 he sacked Barcelona and in 997 Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. Although he spared the tomb of James, son of Zebedee. He also waged several campaigns against the Kingdom of Navarra, including his longest, in which he defeated a Castilian army at the Battle of Cervera.

  • The moors never made it to Northern Spain,They were scared to fight in mountain places.Galicia,Asturias,And the Basque country were all untouched by muslims.
