The 77th Cocker Spaniel Championship was held on the Shadwell Estate, Norfolk by kind permission of the Shadwell Estate Company on the 14th & 15th January 2009.
27 dogs and their handlers competed over two days on superb trialling ground, mainly laid braken interspersed with a few bramble patches.
Martin Wingrove, head keeper ensured that there was an excellent supply of game throughout the stake and this included pheasant, partridge, woodcock, hare and rabbit. Judges Keith Carter, Guy Croft, Jack Iliffe and Edward Martin ensured that every competitor had the chance to shine with th guns performing to a high standard.
Winner Mrs J Tudor's Randalyn Black Jazz handled by Mr N Gregory.

"working cocker" is not a recognized breed under FCI Rules. Even not recognized breed under English Kennel Club rules! But they have a pedigree that usurps the name of a breed!
However, these are not "pure-bred" dogs, so they are only mixed-bred: with much english springer blood too...

Only mixed-bred dogs, with not only no gene-pool, by even no resemblance to the cocker...
