I'm Going to Be Happy???

This is both my unveiling of my new Ultra Flip HD and a serious question, "how much money will it take for you to be happy?" It is something serious to consider because what you answer is what you will work for your entire life. But what about being happy now? Is that possible?

I'm pretty happy with my life the way it is now. Sure there are things I'd like to be different and there are still issues that I have to work through but I have everything I need in life,I have people in my life that care about me and I have a job that I love. Even though my life isn't perfect I'm grateful to God for the things that I do have. I have many blessings in my life and I know that if I change some things I'll gain even more.

Happiness isn't experienced by a person achieving something, like getting enough money, but a feeling generated by the person feeling that they are successfully working towards that goal. Just something I read once. :)

With Christ however, His mere presence in my life makes me happy. I have a number of things that I feel really bad about, but the love of Christ makes the happiness in my life far exceed the sadness. :)

I see what you are saying. However you don't understand Christians until you truly are one. I am a christian and I am happy everyday. Christian's are the happiest people I know. We know God has out back's so we don't worry about as much stuff as others might worry about. That is just my view on the Christians that I know. I am so thankful for every moment of every day. I LOVE LIFE. I am so content with life. I am so excited about life. I am also so excited about Heaven. Happiness is a choice.

There will always be the needing for more just like you said. But it's not a choice, is it? Sure IF someone said you get one more meal before you die and you can have it now or tomorrow, you choose now. But when is such a hypothetical situation going to actually happen? Doesn't true happiness come when you don't have to worry about that choice? As I already asked, can you be happy today knowing that your short term future is bleak? Comfort AND security make happiness. So it works together.
