@sugarraygras This was by no means a one punch knockout fighter, in the foreman fight, foreman was already exhausted when being clipped by ali, so it could be argued that he got beaten by much more than just a punch. I dont think anybody who really knows about boxing believes a punch like that could lay down a good chinned boxed like liston. Just saying

@andrewr62 - Well... there was the Folley fight but I always thought that that was a bit suspect too. Not a fix but Zora seemed to be looking for a place to lay down.

@sugarraygras This was the mostly poorly executed dive a all time. Ali's punch had neither the speed or leverage to kill a fly much less KO a fighter like Liston who had a great chin. I think it's relevant to point out Ali never knocked out another fighter in his career with a single punch. Liston was always mob controlled and possibly killed. Not saying Ali knew about the dive but it is so very obvious.

Great video my friend and well done for immortalising it here. Dempsey and the Rock, brilliant. As for the punch, it was the same punch Ali KO'd Foreman with, a sharp right hand. Liston was a finished fighter after the first fight and Ali got to his mind more than his body, alas the body follows the mind.Liston didn't want to take another boxing lesson from the KId. Liston should not be forgotten for this, he was a great fighter which is why Ali was, and still is, the greatest. peace.
