After the parties were over Thomas played Auld Lang Syne on a Contra Bass (?) sax for us. We had gone to a local bowling alley for New Years. But we were not able to get a lane so we had to settle for drinking.

  • one of the better renditions of this beautiful ancient tune that I've heard. I've been surfing for hours to find a non-fucked-about rendition of a beautiful pre-chordal musical piece and this is the best so far. Dude - keep it simple !!

  • it's definitely not a contrabass, they're about 6 1/2 foot tall, and you definitely can't carry it with a neck strap XD plus, only about 4 or 5 are made each year by ORSI and they cost upwards of £50,000. Certainly not something you carry about on a night out! Yeah, it's probably just a bass sax.

  • great playing on the bass man.

I play one too. Rock the bass sax

i think it looks like a trditional C.G.Conn Bass Saxophone

  • If you can't walk in a straight line while drunk..

what makes you think you can play well?

  • drinking shouldn't be an excuse for anything.

  • You do realize the guy is hammered out of his skull? I'd say thats damn good playing for being drunk out of your gourd :)

    Rock that bass!

  • This is fucking hilarious. Bowling, drinking, New Years, Bass sax in the middle of the night in the middle of the street. Im sure 99% of people out there think this is a bad idea, but I'm for the 1% out there that think this is a great idea.

  • This is NOT a contrabass saxophone. It is a traditional style ("high wrap") bass saxphone.

  • very nice vibrato for such a big horn. Very cool.

  • ehh... its not that great of playing
