To describe as a big show, why should we not get excited about God and celebrate him. Some folks get more excited than others and that is okay, but to say it is a big show is a bit unfair, maybe its just above your understanding and everyone is at a different place in their praise and worship, I was raised in the Lutheran Church and I can tell you they don't praise and worship like this, I think we all should be excited about God, i love the praise and worship at this church.

church is suppose to be one big show. Ministry happens there, but the worship service is for God and us ministering to God... not for us, although we receive a benefit and God ministers to us in return. But ministry happens mainly in outreach endeavors, in cell or small groups, and in evangelistic movements where we become the hands and feet of God. A word is preached during the service as God moves.

You must consider Pastor Gary, though senior pastor, by calling, he is a worship leader.

God inhabits the praises of his people. When I think about the goodness of God and all that he have done for me my soul crys out. I let the Holy Spirit have his way when I am praising God. If I run, jump, shout, and cry the Holy Ghost is responsible.

cont. from above...You dont have to sing, jump, dance, sweat, cry, or bleed in order to receive The Fathers favor. He's done it through Christ. He loves you, and has blessed you! Colosians 1 says "mystery that's been kept hidden for ages and generations, being is now being revealed to the saints, which is CHRIST in YOU, the hope of glory. What else is there? The fullness of the Godhead dwelt within Him in bodily form, and how He dwells in YOU. Stop working so hard for something thats free.
