@aguacun i'd love if you could send me the gigli's autobiography please!! or if you cant send me the link please! thanks!
-
@pabloprado77 Yes, I thought that because in his autobiography he said that a teacher once had to deceive, to trick him at the piano because he had problems beyound de B flat and the teacher made him to sing beyound the high C vocalizing. Gigli has a huge repertory but I ´d never consider him like an Alfredo Kraus or Nicolai Gedda as, precisely, a tenor who shows often high notes (meaning C´s or D´s).
-
@aguacun why? you thught that he could not reach that notes? just search di quella pira 1936 by gigli you'll drop your jaw!!
-
I´d never heard before a Hig C from Gigli. IN fact never expected tha he could sing a high C... great!!!!!!!!!

Favolosi Gigli e Favero!...
-
Faveros voice is the ideal for Violetta, light high, supertechnic and very moveing. In combination with Gigli the best Traviata- singers !
-
The ideal voices for the La Traviata. This is opera in highest quality ! Falveros voice is most light and quickly, therefor ideal for this scene !

Wonderful.

With such a pair, who needs more?

Recorded a 1/2 step higher but nevertheless it captures the brilliance and intensity of their voices.
this is how opera must be

This is Traviata as it SHOULD be sung unlike what is heard on the contemporary operatic stage
