  • Outside of the Cloverfield cinematography, great interview. Mihalka is a real character...he kind of sounds like Heath Ledger's Joker!!!! Weird!

  • Cloverfield was a big influence on this production. ;)

  • What an honor to meet such a legend.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yeah, Don Francks did a great job in the original MBV as well as in Rock&Rule, Heavy Metal, Inspector Gadget and the Star Wars holiday special. Tom Atkins did a good job in the MBV remake too, i think.

  • @TheAltair4

I agree the 3D remake was amazing in theaters and had goofy fun to it. The original will be my fave too as well, Tom Atkins was great as Don franck's role. Did you know Don Franckes in this movie is Mok on Rock and Rule, Boba Fett on Holiday Special of Star Wars, the pilot on Heavy Metal and of course on Inspector Gadget as a voice?

  • Great interview! George Mihalka seems like such a nice, warm, friendly down to earth kind of guy. The remake was pretty good, i have to finally admit, but the original will always be my favorite.

  • I should have read the whole title of this video. I thought this was an interview with the band, but I guess I just wasted my time.

  • have u seen my childhood

  • MBV? I can easily see that. The original movie was a tiny, tiny little horror movie from Canada. And, it was 1981. Different times. Word of mouth was much more difficult to get going before the internet.

I can't really judge the remake though because I haven't seen it, yet.

  • By rateing rise it seems like the remake of this movie did do better then the orginale... then again i havent seen the rateings lately.

  • By the way, I didn't mean that first comment as a slight.

As far as the remakes go, I was, mostly, referring to the horror genre. It's getting out of hand. MBV, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw, Dawn Of The Dead, Last House On The Left, The Hills Have Eyes, The Omen, Nightmare on Elm Street and I Spit On Your Grave coming soon, etc. There have to be some original scripts floating around in Hollywood.

The original Wonka scared the hell out of me! New one was ok, tho I thought Depp was amazing.

  • Really? I find Charlie and the chocolate factory better then Willie wonka and the chocolate factory. Not only saying it threw my own opinion but also looking at the reviews on such sites like IMDb and Rotten tomatoes. How ever some people will find the original one better because they grew up with it.
