  • @Duck4212 " Where does Jesus tell us, that by following and accepting HIm, we are to circle the wagons and condemn people we don't like along with their sins,if any?"

You sound just like a conservative who condemns homosexaulaity whilst staing not to condemn the actual homosexual.

"We are to try show Jesus to them even if they spit in our face" I dunno how many time Jerry Falwell claimed to be doing this. I mean absent any proof that he hated any individual, you can't say otherwise.

  • @Duck4212 Sure, and liberals are just as guilty of this as are conservatives. There's no "right-wing" monopoly on hostility. In fact your view of conservatives can be described as hostil as well "Mr. Pot." lol

  • @MasterWooten Where does Jesus tell us, that by following and accepting HIm, we are to circle the wagons and condemn people we don't like along with their sins,if any? We reject sin, not people. We are to love others by treating them with the same consideration and respect as we would want from them. This applies to even those we consider to be dire enemies. We are to try show Jesus to them even if they spit in our face. That's God's will. They may not accept Jesus but at least we did His will

  • @MasterWooten People who can't or won't love & respect others, even though these others may be hostile to us and even Jesus Himself, cannot serve Jesus period. This applies to all who claim Jesus inluding you and me and everybody else. Jesus's work is done no other way. We can attend church, become baptized and born again, repent, help the poor, believe the Word, worship and pray every day, no matter it's all in vain if we won't love who we consider to be the Tax Collector. It's all hypocrisy

  • @Duck4212 The guys on the political left however outwardly reject God. So given a choice between he who rejects the Lord and he who claims to follow, him, I'm going to choose the latter.

The bigotry and the hate you talk about more often than not represents behaviours and lifetsyles often condemned in the very scriptures which you claim you follow, so what's dealio? Are you really a Christian or out here attacking those who claim to be a Christian which in and of itself is not Christian?

  • @MasterWooten The guys on the political right do the same. The only difference is they pretend to be justified by the Word of God. They listen to demons who feed off anger and allow hate and biggotry to get a foothold in their lives. They know that other's wouldn't accept what really goes on in their minds so they attempt to hide and justify it through a distorted false verson of Christianity. These people don't know the real Jesus any more than I know brain surgery. Jesus knows who are His.

  • @Duck4212 Okay. lets say for arguments sake, Limbaugh and Beck are bigots (I don't share their view but...), bigotry is far less a sin than blasphemy, support for homosexuality abortion and atheism which I hear from Bill Maher, Kieth Olbermann and Michael Moore.

The guys who the political left support generally dismiss, pervert or HATE Christianity. You don't hear Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck taking stands that are funadamentally anti-Christian. In fact beck IS a professing Christian.

  • @Duck4212 Well then why are YOU only attacking conservatives? Seems like you have it figured out as to who's who.

All I'm saying is that whn it comes to values, one side while not perfect (I agree with that) is better than the other.

Look if one side warts and all at least claims to support and or respect my faith, I'm going to side with them over the otherside who largely ignores or ridicule my faith. This probably explains why most Christains DO identify as conservative.

  • @MasterWooten I hate hypocrisy. I see conservatives endorse people like Beck and Limbaugh I have a hard time thinking of them as the Lord's people. They aren't. They clearly demonstrate themselves as bigotted, hateful and hypocrites and if they go to church on Sunday claiming Jesus is their God being justified by their politics then they're greatly deluded. They don't know Jesus. If I see Republicans helping the poor instead of seeking tax reductions, then maybe I'll change my opinion.

  • @MasterWooten You have a bad tendency to group people on the basis of your political affiliation. Lib or Con cannot be defined or if it is attempted it tends to be based upon an opinion which varies greatly among people. Among the far right you are probably a lib. So maybe you dont abide by the Lord? . Is this good reasoning? It's nonsense. People are individuals. His teachings? You mean those teachings that elect politicians who constantly lie and promote fear, oppress the poor.
