The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger was a US interceptor aircraft built as part of the backbone of the United States Air Force's air defenses in the late 1950s

  • Nice :)

  • Just got confused. I wanted to mean that Italy should have adopted the F106 delta dart instead of the F104. F104 is undoubtedly better than F102.

  • @MegaCarlo1979 Actually, though the F-102 is attractive, Italy made the right choice: the F-104 had much higher performance.

  • Great plane ! I wish the Italian Air Force had adopted it in the '60 instead of the F 104 starfighter.

  • Sharp ... but it's an F-102 Delta Dagger .... I was stationed at Suffolk County Air Force Base ... near the tip of Long Island, NY in the late 1950's .... and we had MANY F-102's on base. Later F-104 Starfighters took over ....

  • This is an interesting animation but this is an F-102, not an F-106. I was in an F-106 squadron in the late 1960s. The F-102 was a forerunner of the F-106.
