I saw one of my friends almost destroy herself because of self harming, I saw her tracing a compass across her neck. Yet I still laugh at jokes about self harming, or exaggerated stereotypes about 'emo's. Do you know why? BECAUSE IT'S FUCKING COMEDY, HUMOR, A.K.A NOT SERIOUS. If someone commits rape it is wrong to joke about a specific rape but this is a joke it is not real. If you laugh you are not laughing at rape victims, if you think that you are guessing at somebodys motivation for laughing and you are wrong and judgemental. Why waste your anger on this when 95% of rapes go unreported that is worth being angry about not a joke that is not directed at rape victims and is about a non-specific event which didn't happen. Sort your fucking priorities out!

@garchomp119568 Except, no. You're wrong. All you people who are laughing at the expense of those who have gone through rape are the one who are ignorant and bigoted. Casually making jokes about rape when 1 out of 4 women in the U.S. will experience it firsthand is huge fucking deal. It triggers emotional distress and digs back up all the pain of being raped to those who have suffered it. Rape is something that needs to eliminated, not joked about.

Rape jokes are funny. The people who say you shouldn't joke about it are bigots. It's comedy. It's always meant for laughter and if people see it otherwise then they are forgetting that it's comedy. If people don't think it's funny that's fine but the people saying you shouldn't joke about certain subjects are putting down comedy. It's either everything's funny or nothings funny, once you draw that line on what you should or shouldn't joke about, you are creating bigotry and hate.
