I saw NOTLD when I was about 12 years old My mom knew I loved horror movies and told me that it would be on Halloween night. When I saw that it was black&white I was sure that it was gonna suck, but imagine my delight when I watched it.The end pissed me off SO bad,I thought about it for days.

Back in the '60's, every time you turned on the news, redneck sheriffs were turning dogs, hoses & baton-wielding cops on peaceable marchers protesting the Jim Crow laws & poll taxes aimed at keeping black people from voting. The CEO's of companies such as Dow, Monsanto, A T & T & GE were there too, behind the scenes, making a mint off the war in Vietnam at the expense of all the working class guys who were drafted, not to mention the Vietnamese.

Right, and even today the news will run right out to get the opinion of a "toothless hillbilly" to back up a corporate interest simply because poor white people, just as poor black people or poor Mexicans, or anyone else poor, do not have equal access to education and thus make decisions that are fed to them by the media they have been programmed to pay attention to. I continue to believe it is unfair to hold one group of people in poverty to a different set of standards than another.

Hell, even if the white men knew that the black man wasn't infected, they probably would've shot his ass anyway. After all,it was the 1960's.

The first time I watched Night Of The Living Dead,I was completely outraged that those white men killed the black man, without even knowing whether or not he was normal or the living dead. He had 2 struggle his way out of danger, made it 2 the very end, then ends up being shot? That's ridiculous.

hey ... no worries, mate ... i checked about Jim Goad already ... and i have always recognized what you said about those "the good old boys" and the "old boys club." ... but sometimes it is hard to get to the business when dealing with such themes ... isnt it ?
