Fantastic !

When you guys laughed, I laughed too, and so did my nanday on my shoulder.
-
I'm quite fond of Nandays, and Maverick here is no exception. I'm surprised and amazed at his vocabulary, and his eagerness to show others his talkative-ness. My Sun Conure, Bodi, surprised me when he began to speak...I heard that it's quite rare for conures in general to be talkative compared to their bigger parrot counterparts (greys, amazons, ect)
-
My Nanday says "Whatcha Doing"
-
I always heard Nanday's don't speak. I guess you disproved that.
-
i have a nanday conure that loves to give kisses to me only to people she knows. but she loves to make noises like giving kisses. she bobs her head as well as laughing.
his name is jade. jade the dancing king
-
my nanday used to cuddle with me like that too..she got very territorial after awhile, only myself and my mother could hold her..she never bit us but would bite others
-

-
@FCKEVRY1 i have a nanday as well, jazz, she is very talkative....her favorite word is FREAK!!!! lol
-
Actually, nandays do talk, they are just difficult to teach. They, like many other parots mimic what they hear around them. I have a nanday too and she talks up a storm. Doesn't get much cage time except bedtime. Its all in how you work with them.
-
how much does it cost
-
Ahh, he looks like he's in that "Hey this is my owner!!! Don't come near me!" mode. My nanday does that too, and the slow motion head movements. His name is Pickles.
-

I just wish he was like this with everyone! It takes him a long time to get used to new people.
When he gets all cuddled and chatty like this he gets in what we call "guard mode' hehe. He just sits and guards me and anyone that gets too close, he;ll dive bomb them!

Cute. I have a nanday, Pythagoras, who is just learning to say his first words. Not too many of these birds talk, you know?

Aww! Yea, we actually were discussing that the other night...not sure why he's so talkative for a conure. He's got a vocabulary of about 15-20 words/phrases/sounds. We'd like to get all his phrases on video, but that's easier said than done. He's loves to be a chatterbox!

i have a nanday conure but he gets very territorial bcuz he spend most of his time with my sun conure :(
he bites sometimes but when hes alone hes sooo cute.. but i might sell him bcuz hes becomming too agressive...
umm how did you teach him to say all those things???
mine just wistles and says his name and sometime dances and he says pee-ka-boo!

We really didn't teach him to talk. Just interacting with him and him being around us all day, he picked up quite a bit. A lot of it just depends on the bird...my sun doesn't talk at all...he occasionally whistles and he clicks. If you are thinking about selling your bird, I'd look into a bird rescue first. That way someone would be able to work with him to overcome the aggression issues and you can be certain he'll end up in good hands.
