SO I don't know how much you all know about the X-Files, so I'll start with the basics. Mulder and Scully are FBI agents assigned to the obscure unit of "X-Files", investigation of the supernatural and extraterrestrial, which is a project Mulder created himself because of his obsession with finding his sister who he believes was abducted by aliens. Scully is a sceptic, at first assigned to spy on him.
IN this episode they are investigating a "lake monster" which had maimed or killed several people and animals, but which no one had actually seen. It eats Scully's dog Queequeg. One night they go out to observe the monster, crash into a rock and sink the boat, and then find themselves stranded. I had to cut a lot of their conversation out (or risk a 10 minute video) so their conversation may seem stunted. And *spoiler* the lake monster turns out to be an alligator.
I'm so ridiculous.
I hope you find this funny.
@linebackertwo Thumbs up to you, buddy. I've been searching high and low for that one episode! That ending scene was actually the climax for me! O_O
Anybody know which season the "Quagmire" episode was from?

Matthew, so how much X-Files have you watched?
But I understand, I was like that with Buffy until my friend lent me the DVDs. speaking of which, I actually own al of the X-files if you want to borrow it...

not really. Doggett isn't so bad, but I didn't really like Reyes, and they completely mess up all the good stuff they had going with the mythology in the 5th 6th and 7th seasons by starting this other random plot line with "super soldiers" instead of aliens and then they don't finish it, they just say it was an "alternate theory". And the end of the 7th season was PERFECT, they should have ended it there. And of course you can't really have the X-files without Mulder and Scully.

Hey! No need to convince me to watch it! I was a convert long ago, I just have had other things to watch and so haven't gone all completion-ist on it yet. I will though!
