  • @AQB52 They should have made an Impossibles album. If those songs were released, I'd buy them in a heartbeat! If the show ever gets released on DVD, the full versions of the songs would be a perfect bonus! I'm sure there are full recordings because different snippets have been used throughout the show. Besides, it wouldn't make sense to have only the snippets without a full recording.

  • @scouserfourteen Oh yeah!!! I remember The Impossible from Hanna Barbera's Worlds Of Super Adventure on Saturdays in the mid 70's on WNEW 5 (NY) and this very bumper has been with in my memory as well for the past 30-some years. As well as showing this, WNEW also had another Saturday night fave of mine, Creature Features.

  • I bought the entire DVD series (ahem, unofficially!) only to find the theme music was different than my 5 year old memory. THIS IS THE ONE I REMEMBER AND HAVE BEEN HUMMING IT FOR 40+ YEARS!! :))

Thank you!!!! Now, being greedy, does anyone know where I can get this tune longer than 0:17 secs... I would LOVE the whole intro!

    cheers!!!

  • One of the best

super hero teams ever created for Saturday mornings!

  • There is a Compilation DVD ("Saturday Morning Cartoons, Vol. 1") which has the FIRST Episode of FJ&TI-without the bumpers, though. They aged WELL!! (The quality was stellar). There was also a episode of Marine Boy on that same DVD-also in stellar quality (better than I EVER seen it!!). I want Hanna-Barbera/Warner Bros. to issue the DVD versions and SOON!!

  • @CosmicFunkOSMOSIS, me too!!

  • Dude, if I am correct this was before Scooby Doo on the HB cartoon tree.

  • Man, if they put out the full series DVD with all the extras, they'll have to DRAG ME out of Best Buy!!! The episodes still ROCK--and I mean "literally". IMPOSSIBLE!! IMPOSSIBLES!!! IMMM-POSS-IBLES!!! I used to love the HELL outta Paul Frees saying that. ^_^
