Pop legend Clarence's classic 'Sihina Lowak Dutuwa' can be heard in many walks of life.
This is the very first version he performed for Super Golden Chimes and the vinyl rustling can be heard very clearly too.
Simply beautiful pop music, cannot go wrong.

  • I Once inquired from Clarence as to why he introduced the drums break in the song "Gamen liyumak", and he told me "Palitha malli That is the time lap to open the letter and to read the contents" .

I Have no words to write about his talents.

  • "Sihina Lowak" really takes the listener back to the past. The most romantic song ever. This would be an example for today's so called "artists" , just to observe what MUSIC is.

  • Dreaming about 70's memories.............. "Sihina lowak dutuwa mathakai"

  • Great work...!!

  • Thank you Dr196903 for uploading this wonderful era which represent the golden era in Sinhala music. Just like Palitha ayya, you are also doing what necessary for preserving these golden era and for that we really owe you. Those who could define themselves as singers should ask by themselves whether they can really be singers like this man. You can modify any music but not this man...the only way to modify these songs is imitate the voice by third class attitude....

  • @palithabatu

  • If william Shakespeare is for England

    then

Clarence Wijewardene is for Sri Lanka.

  • tks for sharing this.nice work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for preserving the original of this gem. it's heartbreaking to see all that crappy versions of this out there in the net. brings back a lot & always, words just fail to describe the feeling whenever i hear this. originally, this was made to ba a jingle & later recorded as a full song. also makes me wonder why on earth all these nowdays modern crap guitarists failed to get a clue of the tone, style, & the sweetness of guitar playing from Dixon Gunaratne.

  • Well done clarence....

    u are the best.....
