The outfits worn in this cartoon would have more properly tie in with the Ghostbusters movies. slave2moonlight,funny name observation. Tubester001,I've bought almost every The Real Ghostbusters action figures mint on card and because of this, I am now eating pork n' beans.

Venkman looks more like Bull Murray in this promo than the actual cartoon lol!

It's not. In the original promo, Venkemans look was changed. Notice they all have differetn color uniforms and hair. (Even Ray has different hair and look from the film) They did this to seperate the likeness from the characters as opposed to the dark hair they all had in the film.

I have always love the Ghostbusters. I loved their song, too. The cartoon version, not the original.

The reason why the character designs in RGB(in the actual episodes, not the promo) is because they were meant to reflect the character, not the film actor. Ray is made chubbier and given a babyface because of his child-like character. Peter is the unsuccessful ladies' man, so he has to look somewhat appealing. And as for Egon, the look of the original actor is kinda stereotypical. His change into blonde (and reasonably handsome) keeps him from being the token nerd.

what Yehome said, well put my friend..their characteristics were accentuated, they were exaggerated adaptations of the film personalities. Bill Murray's not a very good looking guy, but his Venkman has the persona of a charmer and a lay-about. Zeddemore has a moustache, Stantz is not red-haired. ;)

No, actually. It's been explained that the reason for the color change is to help differniate him from the films. Extreme ghostbusters kept if for continuity purposes since it is in the same continuity with The Real Ghostbusters.
