FRANK SINATRA (1915-1998)
"September Song" (1965)

composed in 1938 by Kurt Weill
lyrics by Maxwell Anderson

with lyrics (English)

TRADUZIONE IN ITALIANO
Quando ero giovane e corteggiavo le ragazze,
sapevo attendere;

  • gee....im sorta tearing up ;~;

  • Frank sang the lyrics like he meant it.

  • The arrangement is really what makes this version so good.

  • This was recorded in 1961 with Axel Stordahl as arranger conductor on The Point of No Return album

  • I didn't know this song came out at the same time MUSTANG SALLY or the early Beatles----I will always love songs out of the GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK!!

  • Could someone tell me the specific name of this recording?

  • does any1 know where can i get the, uhh whaddya call it? the karaoke version of this song? (the one where the lyrics arent sung)

  • great kurt weill, great frank sinatra, what a combination, still unbeated. nowbody could sing this song so wonderful. whatever he sang, he mostly got the right style of interpretation. how great

  • This song has a lot of meaning to me as it was played at my Grandad's funeral not just because it was his favourite song but it reminds me of the reverend talking about when my Grandad met my Grandma and the lyrics of this song really fitted the occasion.

  • just beautiful......
