While camping in Rocky Mountain National Park, we awoke to a herd of elk right outside our tent. I shot video of them through the tent, complete with the bull elk bugling. Note how he stares at us at the end!

  • imagine being in a sound sleep, forgetting where you are and have that sound wake you up and then look out your tent and see that beautiful animal standing right outside your tent, scary but awesome.

  • damn! he's pretty

  • he was like

"done? thats what u wanted to tape?"

  • @5aq i guess it depends who you are and how you look at it. I find it knida cool.

  • @uliboy97

True, but they are always too far away to tell, so they look pitch black, and that bugle is kinda spooky.

  • @outlaw21actual they could but for the most part they will be scared of you, they may only attack if they feel attacked, but they usually run away from you

  • @5aq get up close there eyes have color; the elk we killed last november had greeanish grey eyes.

  • Noisy but beautiful guest in your camp. I used to photograph them when I lived in Colorado.

  • In hawaii we have fricken roosters to wake up to! And you people have Bugling elks!

    Lucky!!!

The one reason I am scared of deer, elk, and moose, their eyes are pitch black, can stare into your soul.
