Messina Straits bridge
Italys revived Messina Straits bridge is expected to cost € 6,1 billion and have a central span of 3,3 km, making it the longest in the world. Part of a € 17,8 billion public works programme construction is expected to start later this year.
When the bridge was last mooted in 2004 a consortium of Denmarks COWI, Italys Impregilo, Condotte, Aci Consorzio Stabile, Cooperativa Muratori & Cementisti (CMC), and Impresa Grassetto, alongside Spains Sacyr Vallehermoso, and Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI) from Japan were awarded the design, build operate, transfer (DBOT) contract, which was then valued at € 3,9 billion.

It's all fantastic and futuristic, but when are some ACTUAL PHOTOS OF THE TOWERS BEING PUT IN PLACE, AND THE SUSPENSION CABLES ATTACHED, AND THE START OF THE BUILDING OF THE ROADWAYS TAKING PLACE????
ALL OF THIS WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE STARTED 12/23/09, BUT A YEAR AND A HALF LATER, I SEE NOTHING, IT IS ONE BIG MASSIVE FRAUD.
