@ScientificExploits Good to know, world is changing and not in a good way, I miss the good old days, Sesame street used to be about 1,2,3. A,B,C. music and friends.
As a son of a father who was deployed during Operations Desert Shield and Storm, it might have been a great idea for something like this to have existed back then. I understood what war was back then, as I do today. I understood deployments and the fear that came with it- will Dad come home?
Thankfully, my father did return safe and sound. And, while late, I applaud Sesame Street for this feat.
My kids love this video. In the past 3 years, daddy has been in Iraq for 27 months of it. They are 5 and 3, and just cant understand everything. This helps them cope and understand that what they feel and experience is normal! The military and their families make sacrifices so that those who choose not to serve, not to do their part, can say "this is sick"...these kids are more grown up than many adults will EVER be! Instead of running your mouth, why dont you HELP a military family!
Yes, this is a harsh reality & children, heck I dont know. Its hard to say "you should do this & you should do that" when you arent the one in the situation. Parents should communicate with their kids & be involved with their acitivites (soccer, scouts, youth groups) Get them busy in wholesome activities & help them study & just be involved actively in telling them that they have a purpose in life. I think you should shelter kids from all the stufff like violent video games & movies.protect them!

Huge let-down. I was really looking forward to Oscar and Cookie Monster tearing the place up.

talk to them one on one and not sit them in front of a TV for starters.. maybe there should be a video for adults on how to talk to your kids.
