IDEA AND CONCEPT INFORMATION

Paragraph 1 - Adam

Paragraph 2 - Shekhar

This is an audio/visual exploration of 'Samadhi' using an integration of sight and sound to create a hypnagogic experience assisting the viewer to overcome any distractions and incite bliss & joy. The imagery used is based on research conducted into high-level concentrated meditation often referred to as 'The Chameleon of the Spirit' - a plunge into intensity, abandonment, rage and yet tenderness.

The music was written to aid in bringing about a restful state of being, thereby facilitating a meditative calm which allows the mind to wonder into the usually unchartered areas of the subconscious. Sonically manipulated in real-time and recorded using a number of different tonal variations. This version evokes the most emotional response, yet the ethos of aural simplicity is kept to, as per the original concept. Musically the notes are of a longer duration, compelling the listener to keep or absolve their concentration as appropriate. This is one of a series of three pieces under the same concept.
