[16-Jun-2008] Formula 1 drivers need to maintain a rigorous training regime to face the physical and mental efforts Formula 1 racing demands. Panasonic Toyota Racing drivers physical training focuses on aerobic fitness to sustain an average of 170 heartbeats per minute over an hour and a half, as well as mental preparation to be able to keep a constant concentration during the length of a race. Available video includes an edited video piece on the physical and mental training of Panasonic Toyota Racing drivers and soundbites from Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock, drivers, and Dr. Riccardo Ceccarelli, Team Doctor.

  • @saintsrulz While I respect F1 drivers more than any other athlete, professional fighters in organizations like the UFC are likely more physically fit than F1 drivers in terms of a "total package".

  • You see all the same stuff from NASCAR drivers lol NASCAR and F1 drivers are the worlds greatest athletes.
