This is my 10 gallon saltwater tank. It has a scarlet skunk shrimp and two tank raised false percula clownfish. I have 7 hermit crabs, 2 regular snails, and 2 snails that dig around under the sand. And the two corals in the front of the tank are frog spawn not anemones.

  • How often do you feed it like that? I've had two, both died w/in 3 weeks. I don't know what I"m doing wrong, please help.

  • You have to make sure not to overfeed them. If you put to much food in the tank then ammonia will build up and that may have been the cause of their deaths. What size tank do you have?

  • it's a 46 gallon. Well i tested my nitrite and ammonia after they died to try and determine cause of death, but water was excellent. After a week of having them grew lethargic, not active and stopped eating. really weird, it was a fish only tank with no live rock (now i have live rock) and i wonder if they need live rock to live...thanks for your reply!

  • Live rock should help out a lot. I don't know what other types of fish you have but i do know they like having tank mates. It could have just been a fluke. Perhaps an infection from the fish store. Were they active when you bought them? How much saltwater experience do you have?

  • lol it's fun to watch the fish tank in fast foward when u have the video fully loaded, especially the hermit crabs

  • Mine is ten gallon too.... but its freshwater. But my parents said as long as i can keep these fish in healthy condition, i could get a saltwater tank. which is what i wanted all along... but i like your fish, theyre AWESOME

  • jmine did that too. exept i had it less than 24 hours. .. . it was lethargic and then i found it on its back... ;(

  • at the time i had two clowns, a neon goby, yellow tail damsel and royal gramma. They were extremely active when i bought them, and each were from two separate fish stores. um im sort of a newbie, so far the tank has been up for 7 months...before just did freshwater. now i wont go back saltwater is awesome!! thanks
