Very lovely! Of all the versions I've checked out this is my favourite... Thanks for sharing!

As usual with your music, Jesse, this is just beautiful.

This is really nice. Wish I knew the meaning to the words.

Thank you again for sharing your talent. I wish I could sing falsetto! The "He Mele Aloha" (The blue book) has all these "nahenahe" old time songs, but because I am from a different generation, I don't know the melody lines!! I sometimes strum the chords and "try" to say the words to figure out what the melody is. Sometimes I get lucky and remember what the song "supposed" to sound like, but for some, I am at a loss!!
That's why I am subscribing to you so I can listen and learn from you!!

Jesse: you sing the songs I've heard all my life. This is known in our family as Daddy's Song, my grandfather's favorite song. He fathered 13 kids, of which my mother was the oldest daughter. This is sung at all the family gatherings, including the funerals. We now have 7 of the uncles/aunties left. Mahalo for such a beautiful rendition of a song near & dear to my heart!

I learned this from Joe Keawe's records and I loved it when I first heard it. Musically, I wish I lived 50 years earlier, but at least the old Hawaiian songs are here for us to enjoy, even if the golden era of Hawaiian music has passed us by. Mahalo for you mana'o.

One of the few songs I like just as much - vocal or intrumental. Nice singing. I do this in English, as "Sweet Constancy"

Thanks for listening. I've heard Marty Robbins sings this, but it has a special meaning for Hawaiians as one of the prototypical Hawaiian love songs.

Yeah, there's not a big demand in Idaho for Hawaiian wedding songs...
