I know many who watch this video are Christians. To those, I leave my comment here: does Christ, do you think, support such demeaning and unforgiving laws--laws that would mark a person as a leper? How did Christ view the leper? How did Christ view the prostitute? How did Christ view those who would punish and revile and reject the lowest person--those who would cast a stone? I submit that the laws are anti-Christian, and that many of those victimized are reformed followers of Jesus.

great video..yes these laws have grown far past the intended purpose. Good people are being ruined with no added safety to our children. Reform back to the basics of registering only dangerous offenders and we add safety and save lives

And you really haven't been sitting on the other side as the family of an RSO who is caught up in this over zealous CASH MAKING SCHEME OF THE GOVERNMENT. So you think this protects kids? Talk to my kids. Ask them why they are having to homeschool and live in an RV because people like you harass children who's father is an RSO. His crime? He touched the CLOTHED boob of a 15 yr old when he was 19 - found out her age before anything beyond that happened & sent her home. She got mad... He's branded.

As usual, politicians respond to the hysteria by overdoing it. There is a massive difference between a child molester and this situation. These laws need to be changed NOW!

My son is in this same situation - prison and a life ruined at age 18. Please help us and educate others that not all "sex offenders" are chronic child molesters and rapists - in fact, very few are. We need REASON in our laws - not mindless ongoing punishment.

I agree with c6vega. These laws need to change. There's a difference between teen love as seen above, between a man who truly believes someone is of age after meeting at a bar to later find out they were tricked and they committed a crime while being lied to and between a real sex offender who's looking to commit a crime and who's seeking minors. There's a difference PEOPLE!!!
