  • Thanks alot i was looking for a use for all that fat.

What can i do with bones?

  • @2cansofbulmers Use the bones to make pork stock or add a bone or 2 to soups to add a nice flavor..

  • hello!

I don't see my previous comment posted, but oh well. Lard is been misunderstood for a long time, it is a great fat, healthy for you that has been used for thousnads of years and nobody used to have heart disease or diabetes. It is the factory fats that make one fat. Anyways, I just rendered my own lard too, my question is for how long does it last in the fridge? Thanks

  • @martanavarrete I completely agree with you! As far as how long to keep in the fridge, I am not to sure.. I have never too much at one time that I couldn't consume within a few months. If its in the fridge it should last a good long while. If anything give it a smell or a little taste. If it smells rancid, then get rid of it...

  • In soul food it's cracklings that get put in the peas or the greens - chitlins are intestines. :)

  • @sazji YES YES!! Thanks!
