Nikita Koshelev, Russia, set the highlight on the second day of the preliminaries (Nov. 10, 2008) when he posted the second 300 game of the 44th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup at Bol 300 in Hermosillo, Mexico. It was the 40th perfecto in the history of the Bowling World Cup and the 33rd by a man. Koshelev became the first player of his country who joined the elite BWC 300 club. Jack Guay from Canada made history in 1994 when he rolled the first ever 300 game in a World Cup also in Hermosillo but in a different bowling center.
