Few days ago, I decided to make a small project (for beginners with Unity3D), who want to make FPS game, but having problems with creation of FPS(First Person Shooter) controller(player)!

So, look what we got:
* Player can crouch, walk, run, jump!
* PickUp, Drop Weapons!
* Switch between weapon types and ammo (bullets, grenades)!
* Aim Down the Sights!
* Health system with regeneration and fallDamage!
* 6 different effects (when bullet hit)!
1. Concrete,
2. Metal,
3. Wood,
4. Enemy(blood),
5. Dirt
6. Default (just smoke, if object has no tag)!
* Flash Light!
* 11 animations!
And many more features...

  • Which script is the pick up script? I've downloaded the files but I can't seem to find it.

  • @Blazy9 as i understand you are new to scripting. There is no pickup script (at least in one script). This event is scaled in few scripts. Main script is "SwitchWeapons"... Find video tutorial "[unity3D] Tutorial for FPS Kit - how to add new weapon... ". Main part of this tutorial is connected to this event.

  • @OneManArmy3D Thanks for replying. Yes, I'm new to scripting, about 4 weeks. Our teacher just told us to start on a Unity project after teaching us the very very very basics of scripting in Javascript.

    I tried the bullet holes script at "answers . unity3d {.) com/questions/8494/adding-deca­ls-to-a-object.html"

    It was about raycasting but i dont get it 100% untill i have the working script.

    I have searched everywhere for it, but i can't find a code that work. :c

    Do you have a code like that? or the spark code you used? please help! :o

    I don't want to let any thing do something after i die. Its just for.. Ehm.. I have dragged a: Banana.3ds into the game. I drag it into the player.

  • @SjaiStudio nothing. Script works, like it must - by reloading level. What exactly you want to happend after you die?

    P.S. If you need help = use forum of armedunity, not youtube comment section.

  • @OneManArmy3D Ok. Thank you. I just dragged them from a folder. But what need i to change in the script?

  • @SjaiStudio and how did you dragged them in? From "Project" window into "Hierarchy" - while game is running? :D

    Find script "LevelLoadFade" - this script reloads your level, every time you die. Level will look the same way as you started game.

    P.S. Play button must always be turned off, while you are making any corrections in your level.

    And don't forget to save your progress...

  • @OneManArmy3D Hmm. A .3ds file. Ehm.. If you know what i mean... It looks in the "GAME" view, i create the map, but everytime the player dies, the new files i have dragged in the game, goes to be deleted. In the game, dosn't in my libary/asset.

  • Hello again :) I'd make a cool game with your kit! And i created some new files, and drag it to the player. But every time i died (in test), the game restarts, without that file i drag to the player. How can i change ANYFILE.ANYFILE, used like, that file i dragged into the player, looks like i was there every time?
