  • You made it!!

    Now go ice your butt!

Hammies take a long time to heal. Have you seen your Doc when you last injured it?

  • I used up all the ice in the house.. my butts pretty big and so are my legs! lol I feel much better now and yes I had seen my doctor last time and he helped me through that one.. I dont think I need to see him this time it did not turn out as bad as I thought.

  • You know, it is finishing something that really is the key. You did not give up and you did very well.

  • Thank you.. I am glad I finished :)

  • Congratulations. I would have been so emotional too. There was a day when running the one mile in high school would create so much anxiety because I knew the physical pain and teasing were all about to begin. So, I understand how wonderful this must feel. You are an inspiration:)

  • Thank you.. It was hard and I felt like giving up so many times but looking back I am so glad I didnt. All the pain was worth the feeling that you get after when you know you did it!

  • Love, love LOVE the medal! And hey - that time is NOT that bad!!! Distance running is REALLY hard and it takes so many months of training to get your body ready for it. You just have to be patient with yourself. My first half I got a stress fracture and had to end my training. Luckily, 2 months later, I joined a half (to run the 5K portion) and felt so good I unexpectedly ran the full half. Only YOU know your body's limits. Congrats on your first half! It's a big deal!

  • Man I feel ya, especially for you first Half Marathon. That's the thing about running though, you learn from things both physically and emotionally and move forward with a stronger passion. BTW, Bathroom breaks are for people that have not trained or prepared properly.

  • No more hamstring pulling! Boo!!!

  • I just wanted to say I hope your doing better with your leg and all. Clap, clap, and cheers to ya ! I think you did great to even be there. Again, I hope your leg is healing. Give yourself sometime to heal. Maybe you can do it again some day. Cheers to ya ! :D

  • I am SO PROUD of you! I know you were pretty down in this video, but I also know you are usually optimistic and bounce back. The fact that you did a 1/2 marathon is simply incredible, and know this: there will always be another race!!! Take time to rest, and before you know it you will be back getting ready to set a new PR ;) Take care of your feet and hammy!! Hugs

  • I'm happy to hear that. Take care of that hamstring!!

  • Thats ok .. I feel much better about it today. the point is I was able to pull through and finish. Not getting the time I wanted just helps for the next one.. cause now I can beat the first time.. no problem! :P
