Gov. Chris Gregoire on May 13, 2009 signed a historic transportation budget for the 2009-2011 biennium, which includes the largest two-year construction budget ever for the Washington State Department of Transportation. Legislative budget writers believe the projects included in this budget will support or create an estimated 49,000 jobs.

  • bobbbbbable ..when they fill the potholes and use YOUR MONEY! = we can run a light rail system right thru your backyard ~ choochoo!!!!!

  • ..WA State made the TOP 5 list of "most fraud votes" that any State government ignored! ....of course looking for all those fraud votes? Would be like work or somethin ~ (and stall all those Starbucks breaks and not leaving for home at 1:05 every day and puttin the phones on HOLD)

  • Kelji98225 ..when she was a lawyer? She cost WA State $5 MILLION in penalty for her not getting her paper work in on time (the liberals just looked away from that kinda far left idiocy) And rewarded her being the grifter of the decade by VOTING her into office !!! Great job liberal voters of WA=.....we is Stim-you-all-busted dead beat illegal alien sucked off the last dimes and now have drivers liscenses BROKE!

  • This woman needs to be removed from office as with the Liberal black hole washington has found its self in for decades. In November 2012 we shall see and act accordingly

  • WSDOT is horrible. It took us decades to get a light rail system. Things need to move faster, we need to stop stalling on moving forward with mass transit systems. Why is WSDOT taking so many years to get light rail up and running? 2023 is an eternity away.

  • Yeah! Our infrastructure needs this work. I know WSDOT can deliver these projects.

  • Huge waste.
