@HeatherGlen33 There is no worship here. I think he made a huge mistake leaving the show. I just want to set the record straight. Everything I ever read, even an interview of him some years ago, reinforce what I said. If you don't like what I wrote, get over it.

@itsmegp46 I don't know why this bothers you so much. You were on my email screen. I am not a kid. Pernell was born in 1928. I was born in 1929...I read many "biographies" TV guide prints only what they are told. I knew 2 of his wives. Vera Mawry and Eleanor Chriswell. He lived on their wealth which allowed him to wander, and find a bigger role. He never found it. His 4 wives realized what he was. But they were lonley, women, who were taken in by his seduction. Why all this worship?

@HeatherGlen33 I don't know where you get your information, but I was around when he left the show. TV Guide and the entertainment section of the newspapers said it all. What you need to do is look up Pernell Roberts on Google.

@itsmegp46 He didn't hate it. He knew he had a big mistake by leaving. He read Shakespear on stage and tried some musicals but it came to nothing. He wanted the big screen, but he wasn't asked. His "old style" was obsolete, and the actors like Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum, Burt Lancaster were the ones people really admired.
My favorite was Mitchum. I got to meet him once in LA where he was taking voice lessons. He was real. Kind, loving, and yes nasty. I loved him

@hubbaman9885 Trapper John was barely a blip on the radar screen. But I could name a bunch of actors who left a successful tv in the hopes of making it "big", only to never be heard from again. Or, if you do, he or she is selling some infomercial product on tv at 4AM.

@itsmegp46 Ya, funny how he hated it so much, yet he did nothing memorable afterwards except the series "Trapper John, M.D."

I had the biggest crush on Adam/Pernell as a kid.

@rosey16113 There was never an episode where Adam died. When he left the series, they mentioned a couple of times that he went away to live somewhere else.

You are so very welcome.
I mean every word of, he's Amazing.. But..
Can you tell me what episode 0:15 Adam and Hoss walking/0:48 Adam dancing and 1:18 Adam and Ben fight.
I will be very happy.

@Siouxindian7 I believe the one where Adam and Hoss are walking is from Episode #8 The Philip Deideshiemer Story, and the episode where they are fighting, I believe came from Episode #7 The Saga Of Annie O' Toole. I am pretty sure the one with Adam dancing is from Episode #9 The Henry Comstock Story. Hope this helps. Hope I'm right. I think I am.
