Force Majeure Video
Making a music video has always been out of reach more or less. In the 90´s it was very expensive and there was no chance on earth that you could be played on MTV or any other TV channel. Today thanks to computer based editing like Final Cut Studio, the cost has reduced significantly and above all now there are Myspace, Youtube and all other internet channels to be published on. I endorse this development and I´m actually threatening to make more music videos in the future. Anyhow, the Force Majeure Video was filmed by a dear friend of mine, Fredrik Norrgren. We go back since the late 80´s. He is mainly into sound production but is as you can see very clever behind the camera tripod as well. We filmed on different locations for two days. Renting track inspection bikes, a red double decker bus and getting access to a castle garden with surroundings. It was a lot of carrying equipment around: cameras, monitors, tripods and props. Exhausting but very enjoyable. The very simple plot of the music video is that the bus neglects the bowler hat man on his way to work. He´s going through a lot of efforts to catch the bus and when he finally does it, he realizes that this is the place he normally goes off. He calmly presses the STOP button and goes off in a british reserve sort of manner. The story is inspired by Eric Sykes short movie The Plank. In other words: Much ado about nothing.
i really like the song...btw, were you tired when making the video?you were running all the time....haha
