You really could call "A Midsummer Night's Dream" a commentary on high school relationships. In other words, Shakespeare's play is about the nature of love—the way it can be confusing, out of balance, and at times, totally upside-down. But don't expect anything serious—or tragic—about this meditation on romance. "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is all about not taking the difficulties of love too seriously.
That was the best summary of the play ever. You were able to explain it without touching on anything that happens in any part of the plot/story. Thumbs up!
