@linda1067 When Rickles said to Gene Kelly "You Italian" he meant it as a question. Kelly had stood up when Rickles said those words. It was as if he was saying to Kelly "How dare you stand up. You Italian?". Meaning only Italians could stand up.  That's how I interpreted it.

I can´t get enough of these old time roasts, classy and without the need of cussing. Not that I dislike doing it, but it requires talent to make fun of people without doing it...which is more than I can say for the bunch of bozos that pretended to do a modern day roast (???) for Charlie Sheen...
