Parody (as much as it can be) of the sorry Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) Above The Influence commercials. These anti-drug commercials appear to have been created either 1) by the preambulatory infant children of the ONDCP staff, or 2) by people who have been spending all their anti-drug propaganda budget on drugs themselves. Sadly this parody is probably a step up from the original.

Keep in mind, I'm not encouraging anybody to smoke grass. What I am saying is that half-truths like the things you presented help nobody. I have seen people who have known the lies that the anti-drug lobby promotes on television about weed. They then assumed they were lying about other drugs, like MDMA and coke, which actually ARE harmful. Lies do more harm than good, friend.

It does not "ruin" the chemical pathways as it is only a partial agonist of the cannabinoid receptors. Finally, what you seem to be describing is meth. Weed does not trigger the massive dopamine releases that are so addictive in many other drugs. Rather, it redirects some of the electrical signals in your brain to parts they usually don't go through. This makes one think in a different way.

Marijuana can ruin some lives. Some people have addictive personalities and will get psychologically addicted to marijuana. You'd be surprised, however, at the actual results of science on this matter. There is absolutely no evidence that marijuana use destroys brain cells (the one study that concluded that actually killed brain cells through suffocation). Other studies have suggested that marijuana use stimulates brain cell growth.

  • wanna get twisted?

  • @jrdrag1201 I thought that this was more clever and funny than the actual commercial that Above the Influence broadcasted. That commercial was just weird and dumb.
