Why do you think that "pleasure" is fundamentally unlimited?

I was not talking about those of us alive today, but about the potential of the evolutionary process. The argument is that the depth and richness of human consciousness is related to the level of self reflection and abstraction that the human mind is capable of. From Godel's Incompleteness Theorems we know there is no finite limit to this.

14:40-15:20 : What's dangerous here is suggesting that humans need to rely on technology in order to have such abilities. They lay dormant inside us already... and using technology as a crutch only holds back our evolution towards such things, and requires we give up our freedoms and soul.

There is already an infinate conscience in the universe that is in and around everything. That is what is called God and we are being watched closely as to our developement........

Humans are entirely too impressed with themselves... Unexplainable? Unimaginable? Please ^_^ Consciousness is merely an emergent property of neural interactions. A simulated neuron has the same potential as a real neuron as long as it is accurate. Evolution is a mere fraction of the potential of Upgrade.
