@toby099 The funny thing was that Don didn't fire Sal because he was gay -- Don already knew he was gay from the time he caught him in the hotel with the bellhop. Don fired him because he expected Sal to take one for the team and have sex with Lee, since he's such an important client, just like he'd expect any woman in the office to do.

@darlinkula1 its meant to be realistic, at that time blacks didn't even have civil rights. The chances of a black guy getting into an executive position like most of the characters was extremely unlikely.
