that lightning helix made him five-figure money. that's like winning $16k on a lottery ticket. how would you react?

@ExpressBrett NO THEY CANT, you deluded moron, lets take a look at the event in question, these 'nerds' in question, Craig Jones & Olivier Ruel and the tourny in question PT Honolulu 2006.
Rael, the frechman came 4th making a tidy 14K, his opponent Craig Jones made 22k coming second to Mark Herberholz who won the comp landing him 40K.
Now these figures are nowhere near your falsified claim, although total prize money for such tourneys are around the 230K mark, & subject to tax and change.

@antiernie13 standard is 2 blocks (currently Zendikar and Scars of Mirrodin), and has been for some time.

Legacy all the way! Either that or let the standard go back two sets rather that the one

nice shit. :D

@ExpressBrett yeah lol that's what I love. People can talk shit all they want to these guys. They're laughing all the way to the bank. Same goes to Yugioh. Although those guys make less money, the money they make is still nothing to scoff about. Besides, they're both fun games to play, at the end of the day, you play it for fun. Or that's how I see it.

Even if Oli had swung with the team, he could've saved char, lightning helix'd then char'd. Either way he would have won

@ExpressBrett life time for most of these losers

@HTDtrilogy You can't put up one card game and put down another. That's the nerdiest thing you could do tbh.
-
Oh my god double rainbow all the way
These "nerds" can make up to 200k in one tourney.
More then you will probobly make in a year.
