Lucy is up worrying about her teenaged daughter, who's out on her very first date, in this clip from the premiere episode of THE LUCY SHOW in 1962.

  • This is pretty risque for 1962. Lucy went for a very different format from "I Love Lucy" here but it was extremely well written and produced. Too bad it became a sketch show with little continuity or character development in its later years.

  • The actor who plays Chris' boyfriend was my high school theatre director!

  • Great, fantastic!

  • Lucy always had nice hair styles and kept up with the times. Lucy never bad taste when it came to her appearance. She looked good even when disguised as a man.

  • OMG thanks that is SO AWESOME!!!

  • The Lucy Show's first season is set for release on July 21st, 2009!

  • I think had already left the show by this time, hadn't he? Although I think I hear him laughing in the background.

  • :-( i wanna see more!

  • Hmm, I don't like Lucy's hair in THIS episode. It seems untamed to me. The hairstyle she adopted several episodes later, and kept for years after, I MUCH prefer. I don't know why you think that style looks "mannish." To me, it's quite the opposite: very feminine and very chic. It was a very popular hairstyle at that time.
