Anyone who came here, thought they had scratched the glasstop and ruined it for life. And were relieved when all that was needed, was some elbow grease to restore it.

Heck, I just use a warm wet rag and then let the top air dry. Adel, a glass top stove cooks just like a regular burner. It warms up a whole lot faster than a conventional burner. My Hotpoint burners do turn red when i increase the temperature and then turn dark again. Don't clean the top with water if the burners are still hot, the glass won't like it. i wouldn't use anything other than a wet rag unless you really needed it.

I am going to buy a new stove and was thinking of getting one of these. How does it cook? And will using baking soda scratch the surface?
