Indeed, this after the "progressive" movement had begun. Same with Mussolini, in fact both of them were Time Magazine's "People of the Year". Isn't it disturbing who the left views as role models?

Speaking of Poles, Poland has been our friend and ally since the American Revolution. FDR betrayed them during World War II, leaving them to suffer the yoke of Soviet occupation. This was because FDR, being a socialista himself, was enamored with Stalin and believed he could do no wrong. Even Churchill, who was skeptical of Stalin's intentions, was eventually duped by his deception of being "a man of the people."
