Threw this workout in a day early because I am going on vacation...

My plan was to warm up to 390 lbs on flat bench and then try for an incline max PR of 370 lbs. But 390 lbs looked really good when I reviewed the tape, that I decided to try out 410 lbs and hit it. After that, I went to inclines and hit my PR of 370 lbs (5 lb PR).

Then I tried out paused close-grips and hit 315 lbs, 360 lbs, and 390 lbs quite easily. So, I got cocky and tried 410 lbs...failed. Next time...

  • I thought I commented on this? I guess not lol. Great job Randy! Congrats on the PR's bro!

  • @HHH396

Thanks Mark. The bench has felt great lately...nice to finally make some ground on it. I was most happy with the 370 lb incline. Hopefully I can get to 440 lbs on the flat bench and 400 lbs on the incline. I would love to hit 4 plates on the incline one day...that would be crazy for me.

  • How did the Ed Coan Bench routine go? Did your bench go up significantly?

  • @mrlatino187

It went well and I did get stronger from it...but I wasn't able to complete it. But I still use the flat, CG, incline format every few workouts. We'll see in a few months where I am at then...

  • Omg.....your a beast...how long do you rest for inbetween each set?

  • @TheGrizzlyBear69

As long as necessary...usually 2 to 5 minutes...thanks for the comments.

  • I think you already know but Im just gonna say that theres no way 370 is your PR if you did it after maxing out Ha,Ha,Ha, you def had a 380+ in ya and Im sure you couldve gotten 415 if you tried cuz you did 390 as a warm up???that had to take some energy outa you . Great stuff I must say !

  • What do you use for a strength program? 5/3/1, ed coan, westiside etc...

  • @BRETZERR Nice work Randy!!! Strong as hell. Do you take any supplements?

  • U have came a LONG way sence ur first vid! I was wondering, Does Incline bench help your regular bench ? Also does it help make ur shoulders bigger?
