From your comment, I'm guessing you must not have kids. Little kids get tired of walking. It's easier to carry them when they hit the point of not wanting to walk some where, than to deal with the ensuing whining, tantrums, or just plain exhaustion. Those little legs are a lot smaller than ours.

Trust me, when your child starts walking...he doesnt walk as fine as you....;-).
