Comparing modern day samples of Nubians with the ancient Nubians is a bit like comapring samples of modern day Mexico to the ancient Aztecs
Common sense would dictate that the modern popualtion of Mexico is going to be mixed and the ancient popualtion of Mexico would be Aztec/Amerindian.
Much as in the same way common sense would dictate that the modern popualtion of Sudan would be mixed and the ancient popualtion of Nubia would be black/African.
