If your heater blower only blows on high speed, most likely the blower resistor is bad. But, to be sure you must test it. Here is how to find it, test it, and replace it

  • @youtubicator If even the highest blower speed doesnt work, it cant be your blower resistor since the highest speed is not part of the resistor. Its a right-through connection to the power source in order to give you full power from the blower.

  • Could it be the blower resistor if the fan doesn't work on any setting. I don't have a tester to check as per your video.

  • My 03 Town and County with automatic climate control just started blowing high in any setting including off. Would this be the resistor, or something else?

  • why is burning the fuse 40 amps , looks like the last owner have the same problem because the cables of the motor looks like cut like when you taste to see if there is power with the light tester

  • Hi there, thank you for the video , its great, i tought my minivan town and country limited 2001 had the same problems, and probably does, but i have read the minivan have the automatic control module , i went to autozone and the price is around 100 dlls , but i did not wanted to buy it until to be sure the problem will be solved, I checked the two terminals of the motor and both shows power, in one of the terminals plug of the motor shows like when there is a shorcut, any idea

  • Thanks, just followed your video to replace the resistor on my '07 caravan. I had no blower at any setting, but thought I'd try this first as it would be the cheapest fix other than fuses (which were fine). It works perfectly now and cost less than $25 to do myself! Thanks again!

  • thanks your vidio saved me money by inabling me to fixi the prob myself

  • I had no blower at all. Followed your video and everything turned out great!! Thank you for pointing out that the new one would look verry diffrent. Thank you for walking me throught this in such a profetional way, you saved me a ton of money and a big headache.

  • Is there any way of telling if a resistor is bad by looking at it on any kind of circuit or board?

  • Great info! this is exactly what I needed to fix my blower fan.

    thank you!
