@spblackey The rubber mallet is lighter than your average hammer and safer for carrying purposes. The steel tent spikes would never destroy a rubber mallet.

wht i thought would be be cool cause i live in florida and their is nothing but sand is to get 12 inch poles like a screw has but longet and put that bitch in the ground i have a 3 bedroom tent and we had 60 mph hour winds come through and it stayed in place instred of those little stakes. something to think

You're using a steel tent spike, why on Earth would you use a rubber mallet? 1.) You're going to destroy the mallet, 2.) A hammer is something everyone has and will work great.

Nice to see you put the ground tarp down wrong (seeing as how I just came from that vid.) You never want it outside the footprint of your tent.
